I didn’t have long to get to know Ebonie and Rohan before their day.
But by the time it was over, it felt like they were old friends.
They live in Perth now – booked me online. We met two days before their wedding. As soon as we met, I knew that their wedding was going to be just fantastic to shoot.
They were a little bit unprepared for the Melbourne autumn, having become Perth acclimatised. It was 21 degrees. Sunny. Beautiful. But not if you are used to 35 degrees.
It was an amazing day though. I love the light in autumn, in Melbourne – it always seems to be warm, and clear, and divine.
It was a lovely wedding to shoot. Rohan’s dad comfortably won the funniest speech ever prize. The night finished with a dancefloor packed with people using kitchen implements as microphones, singing their lungs out. The ceremony was in the Newman College Chapel, and was filled with the most amazing light I have seen in a church.
It was a pretty great day.

Ebonie - Darin, we are back from our trip, back into work and the wedding seems like it was soooo long ago!
However, your photos truly captured the day and take us back to exact moments.
We are so glad we had you behind the (official) lens!
Ebonie
PS – Congrats on the arrival of James!!!!
